- GeoDB is a UK company focused on the development of blockchain products based on a decentralized big data ecosystem that rewards users for the data they generate. By leveraging blockchain technology, GeoDB aims to create a more equitable and transparent data economy where users are fairly compensated for their contributions.
GeoDB's business model is based on the design and development of independent blockchain products, created either on behalf of third parties or for their own business portfolio, like Wallace or ODIN.
Their branding incorporates illustrations of coins, representing the cryptocurrencies that power their products, and whose distribution to users in the form of rewards is what makes its technology unique.
Given that the products GeoDB creates are independent and feature their own branding and art direction, the request was to establish a slighty neutral identity for the company, putting the spotlight on its products.
Since GeoDB's technology is based on mapping users in real time, the company takes its name from the greek word Geo, which means "related to Earth and its terrain".
A simple blue circle is the company's symbol, an entirely synthesized representation of planet Earth.
The art direction of GeoDB is youthful and tech-savvy, with a basic yet distinctive colour palette that brings a sense of vibrancy and modernity to the brand.
Playing with the edges of the coins, a series of abstract artifacts are crafted to symbolize datablocks and the intricate structure of blockchain technology. These artifacts serve to visually illustrate the interconnectedness inherent in decentralized data systems.
The use of circular elements with diverse patterns and textures in GeoDB's communication resembles the company's symbol and the various applications of its technology.
GeoCash was the company's crypto wallet where users centralized their rewards. This product was replaced by Wallace in 2022.
A representation of the coin used as a graphic resource in the branding is also used as the icon for the GeoDB cryptocurrency.
